Dear Parent(s) & Guardian(s),
Happy Summer!
Thank you for your participation in various family events and informational sessions that we have hosted at the preschool throughout the school year.
Below Are Some Summer Fun Family Activities:
Sidewalk Chalk Fun!
Everyone loves sidewalk chalk. Use the glow-in-the-dark kind so you and your child can glimpse your artwork from the window at bedtime.
Creating Obstacle Courses
Build a backyard obstacle course with hula hoops and jump ropes.
Bowl-A-Rama
Small, empty water bottles and a rubber ball are all you need to transform the family room into a bowling alley. Six bottles should suffice for bowling pins; if the bottles fall over too easily, fill them up with a little water or dry pasta for some extra weight
Family-Room Picnic
Change things up by serving lunch outside of the kitchen. First, grab your basket (you don't need a real picnic basket -- a laundry basket will do) and assemble some picnic foods that the kids can "pack" themselves -- juice boxes, water bottles, packets of raisins, string cheese, paper plates, napkins. While the kids are busy filling the basket, spread a blanket in the family room and put together some sandwiches. Then unpack your picnic and watch the lunch disappear.
Have a Wonderful and Safe Summer!
Important Information Regarding Parking On The Street:
When parking on local streets, you are reminded to always be mindful and always obey posted street signs. Do not obstruct driveways, double park, block fire hydrants and/or park in the factory complex on Kipp Avenue in Elmwood Park. We thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this very important parking matter.
Sincerely,
Nicole Grillo, Ed. D.
